Dream Firms Network, LLC and its affiliates (collectively, “Dream Firms,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) have created this Privacy Policy because we know that you care about how information you provide to us is used and shared. This Privacy Policy describes our information collection and use practices in connection with the Dream Firms CPE Portal at dreamfirms.com (the “Platform”) and any related products and services we make available through it (the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy applies to visitors who view publicly available content and to individuals who have registered for an account to access the Platform and Services (“Registered Users”).

By visiting the Platform or accessing and using the Services, you are agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

The Information We Collect

In the course of operating the Platform and providing the Services, we collect the following types of information.

1. Contact Information
When you create an account, contact our support team, or sign up to receive communications from us, you will be asked to provide your name, email address, and similar information (“Contact Information”). This information is used to provide the requested service or information and to contact you regarding our current and future products and services.

2. CE Information
When Registered Users create an account on the Platform, in addition to providing Contact Information, you may also be asked to provide professional credentials or license information (“CE Information”). This information is used to create your account, administer your continuing education credits, and issue CPE certificates in compliance with NASBA requirements.

3. Course Activity Information
We collect information about your use of the Platform, including lessons viewed, quiz responses, assessment scores, completion status, and timestamps. This information is used to track your progress, issue certificates, and maintain completion records as required by NASBA and applicable state boards of accountancy.

4. Evaluation Responses
Upon completing a course, you will be asked to complete a post-course evaluation form. Your responses are collected to satisfy NASBA requirements and to improve our course content.

5. Technical and Usage Information
We automatically collect certain information when you visit or use the Platform, including IP addresses, browser type and language, pages visited, date and time of visits, and similar usage data (“Technical Information”). We may also collect this information through the use of cookies (see “Cookies” below).

Cookies

We use cookies (small data files stored on your device) to maintain your logged-in session, remember your course progress, and understand how the Platform is used. We may use session cookies (which expire when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which remain until deleted). If you choose to disable cookies, certain features of the Platform may not function properly. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Deliver course content and track your progress
  • Issue CPE certificates upon successful course completion
  • Maintain completion records as required by NASBA and applicable state boards of accountancy
  • Send transactional emails, including registration confirmation, password reset, and certificate delivery
  • Respond to your support inquiries
  • Analyze usage trends and improve the Platform and Services
  • Communicate with you about new courses and features from Dream Firms (you can opt out at any time)

NASBA Record-Keeping

Dream Firms maintains records of CPE completion (including participant name, course title, completion date, and credit hours) for a minimum of five (5) years, consistent with NASBA National Registry standards. These records may be subject to audit by NASBA or state licensing boards. By completing a course through this Platform, you acknowledge that your completion record will be retained for this purpose and cannot be deleted during the mandatory retention period.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their advertising or marketing purposes. We may use your information to communicate with you about Dream Firms products, courses, and updates. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: We engage trusted third-party companies to help operate the Platform (including hosting, email delivery, and analytics). These companies have access to your information only as necessary to perform their functions on our behalf and are required to maintain its confidentiality.
  • NASBA audits: Completion records are kept audit-ready for review by NASBA or state boards of accountancy.
  • Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or other governmental or regulatory authority, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dream Firms, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: If Dream Firms is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide reasonable notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Third-Party Analytics

We may use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to evaluate usage of the Platform and compile reports on activity. Any data collected by these services is used to improve the Platform and to inform our own communications with you. It is not shared with third parties for their advertising purposes. Accessing and Modifying Your Information

You may access, review, and update your personal information by logging into your account or by contacting us at support@dreamfirms.com. You may also manage your receipt of marketing communications by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email we send. You cannot opt out of receiving transactional emails related to your account or course completions.

Data Retention

We retain your account information and course completion records for as long as your account is active and for the periods required by law and NASBA regulations (a minimum of five years after course completion). You may request deletion of your account at any time; however, CPE completion records required for regulatory compliance will be retained for the mandatory period regardless of account status.

Security

We take commercially reasonable measures to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. However, no Internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information you send to us electronically. We do not accept liability for unintentional disclosure.

Links to Third-Party Sites

The Platform may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before submitting any personal information.

Children’s Privacy

The Platform is intended for licensed accounting professionals and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@dreamfirms.com and we will promptly delete it.

Notice to California Residents

Dream Firms does not share personal information with third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. We may use your information for our own marketing communications. California residents with questions about our data practices may contact us at support@dreamfirms.com.

Notice to Nevada Residents

Dream Firms does not sell personal information as defined under Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A. Nevada residents with questions about our data practices may contact us at support@dreamfirms.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and post the revised policy on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
